Frequently Asked Questions |
What is a Statement of Need?
A 'Statement of Need' or SON essentially is the expression of a problem. Statements should articulate the need based on a problem not on a suggestion of the solution, and should answer the question "Wouldn't it be good if...?". The SON might cover subjects such as weaknesses in current products, difficulties in the use of products, gaps in the range of available products or a need that no project is available for in the current marketplace.
